Donate today online at www.wshs-dg.org Hearty Thanks! Olivia Blaszynski of Woodridge turned 8 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated tons of paper towels, laundry detergent, cat and dog food and cat litter. Jackie Etheridge of Downers Grove turned 8 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food and toys. Sofia Frankfater of Downers Grove collected spare change and donated it to the shelter. She donated $20! Emilie Kucinas and Anna Kus donated homemade valentines and gifts for the animals for a service project for the Montessori School of Clarendon Hills. The 5th Grade Girl Scouts from Walker Elementary School in Clarendon Hills named their Bronze Award project to help the West Suburban Humane Society, “Paws for a Cause.” The girls made posters and held 2 drives to help with the WSHS wish list. The troop donated $100 for medical needs and the following: For the Dogs: 3 large bags of IAMS, 3 medium bags of Purina, 6 small bags of IAMS, and 72 cans of dog food. For the Cats: 1 large bag of IAMS, 1 large bag of Purina, 2 medium bags of Purina, 2 small bags of IAMS, 6 small bags of Purina, 49 large cans of cat food, 14 small cans of cat food, 3 containers of cat litter, 2 large cans of KMR, 2 small cans of KMR, 1 box of cat pan liners.
