had shot with so far - the model, my intern (who was also my MUA), my hair stylist and a friend of mine who is also a photographer and who was my second assistant for the day. Carrying everything to the location alone took forever and setting up everything was quite time-consuming as well. It was such a wonderful shoot made possible by everybody working really hard and I am so pleased with the results! The series from that day is called “Little Red” and will be published in the April edition of Dark Beauty Magazine.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF A YEAR FROM NOW?

Hopefully I will be looking back to a super successful year with lots of fantastic photoshoots, exhibitions and having achieved everything I want for this year!

WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST INSPIRATION FOR YOUR WORK?

Maybe the idea that everything that you see in your mind is possible to actually create as a photo. I find so many things inspiring - locations, films, songs, clothes, people and then often my head somehow

somehow mixes things together and comes up with a concept. I do, however, find seeings photos by artists like Kirsty Mitchell very inspiring in that it shows me everything is possible

if you truly want to create something unique and have the passion and patience for creating it as well. In the case of my “My Secret Garden” series I knew from the beginning that I wanted

things to be big and somewhat epic. I wanted them to be totally different to what I normally did and to know later how much work came into those photos and be proud of that.

NIKON, CANON, OR OTHER?

Nikon! But to be fair, I could have easily chosen Canon at the beginning. The only reason I chose Nikon was that a close friend of mine had the D90 and was able to show me some stuff

on the camera, how to change settings etc.. Even though I had been taking photos for a long time already, it was my first DSLR and I was pretty clueless in the beginning. I am on my third

Nikon DSLR by now, having upgraded to a full frame (D810) last fall, and I love it more than ever!!
