B) SAILED REFLECTION
With a passion for sailing, this artist created an interactive art
installation where he invited the gallery guests to create a shoe
sail boat from different textiles. This shot was taken early in
the process of the installation and it is expected to grow until
the show ends late April.
or
C) STEPS AWAY FROM THE RIVER
Representative of a project that took place in Africa these shoe
boats are indicative of a struggle for poverty ridden children
who have to walk far distances to gather water. The boats
created were to resemble hope for the future. After releasing
these shoe-boats into the river, the children participating had a
genuine glimpse of hope for their future in their eyes.
