The artist here was born and raised on a First Nations reserve in Ontario , where he expressed an interest in art . Their mixed media style was developed later in life . Paints and inks are mixed with different collaged images to express an abundance of thoughts and feelings within one given space . The image of an important political figure and an important Native leader was to portray the equality in those positions of power .

The following art piece was created by an American war veteran . In Time is a critical artwork that analyzes standards of masculinity throughout history . The metallic silver paints are combined with contrasting reds to evoke a sense of anger and frustration with the subject matter . The artist uses photos of himself as a child to bring raw emotion into the piece .

C ) TIME IS FLEETING
You are looking at pieces of important evidence . The canvas in this piece has been used as a springboard for the scene of a crime . Images are used here to draw attention to certain aspects of this homicide case that haven ’ t been explored as in depth as they maybe could have .
