I N T RO D U C T I O N Story for survival Story is an immensely powerful tool for survival. Perhaps this concept would more apparent thousands of years ago, however even in the 21st-century story is still a powerful tool for survival, it’s just masked under an overabundance of story. 40-thousand years ago, story was shared through pictorial references on cave walls. These pictures would help people navigate, and sometimes warn them of potential hazards. Now we share story often from lived experience to help give advice or guidance. It is an inherent desire for humans to relate to one another and we often will do so through storytelling. Relating to each other creates a connecting point and further maintains a healthy relationship. By sharing a story of any nature you are participating in the manifestation of your life. Each experience you have during your life equates to a story and the way in which you pass that story along depends on several things. Most importantly it depends on the stories and experiences you’ve been exposed to. It is story’s responsibility to ensure you are never done learning or building yourself. 5
