y life before coming to the Youth
Power Group was a mess. I was a heavy
goth and would constantly have fights
with my mother. I never got along with her and
I was completely empty inside.
It seemed like I was a lost case, I was too far deep
in the gothic life that I was living, sometimes
I would draw
lines all over my face to make myself look like
a demon.
It wasn’t until I came to the Youth Power
Group and was surrounded by such a positive
atmosphere and by people who truly cared
about me that all of this was able to change.
Today I am happy, successful and full of the
presence of God.

Because You are Strong!
“…I have written to you, young men,
BECAUSE YOU ARE STRONG, and the word of
God abides in you, and you have overcome
the wicked one.” (1 John 2:14)
Many young people say, “I can’t do this;”
“I can’t overcome that addiction;” “there’s
nothing I can do;” “I want to do this, but I
got no strength” but, THEIR WEAKNESS IS
IN THEIR MINDS!
is okay! You will discover it when all the
odds are against you!
When you’re feeling really weak, frustrated
or down, that is when you gotta show your
STRENGTH!!!
“…Let the weak say, I AM STRONG.”
(Joel 3.10)
The world wants us to believe that we are
weak, so it will be difficult to overcome by
determination! The world wants us to be
so frustrated that we give up!
There is greatness in you but you won’t
discover this inner power when everything
