Meet Laura Leigh, Founder and President of Wild Horse Education

Laura has documented more days of wild horse roundups than any living person in the last ten years. She is the only person to litigate against abuse at roundups and win; over and over. Her background, that includes journalism, prepared her for a First Amendment legal strategy to open roundups to the public and she continues to work for more transparency. She calls her formal education a bit eclectic; media arts, nursing, biology, victim counseling, martial arts and stunt work. "Oddly, it appears to be the exact preparation I needed for wild horse/public land advocacy work." She has continued her education attending classes covering range science.
