The book has 820 pages, over 2,000 illustrations that are inserted along the 31 chapters. The first eight chapters tackle the diagnosis, etiology, pathogenesis, prognosis, predetermining root coverage, diagnosis and indications for treatment of gingival recession. The next three chapters present the root coverage surgical techniques, the factors that determine the choice of the technique and proper technique. They also detail the stages of the treatment of the root surface, amelogenesis, gingival clefts, caries and noncarious cervical lesions with gingival recession defects. The subsequent chapters cover different types and techniques of making flaps adapted to clinical situations. The 17th chapter describes and illustrates striking trapezoidal flap and triangular flap. The following chapters detail the laterally moved coronally advanced flap and considerations for free gingival grafts, and a Books Review Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery combination method of these two techniques (a two-step technique). Considerations for connective tissue graft harvesting techniques are described in a separate chapter. The next two chapters are address bilaminar techniques for single and multiple recession defects. Here are some of the multiple recession defects mentioned in the book: coronally advanced envelope flap, coronally advanced envelope flap and connective tissue graft and restorativeperiodontal treatment.
