Material Selection and Technique, Second Edition” book, is divided into 14 chapters including issues that we as clinical dentists encounter in our day-to-day practice. The first chapter talks about the work-up and the importance of the relationship between team members. There are several communication tools that can be used to transmit between restorative team, including photography, shade determination and diagramming and diagnostic models. Chapter two explains the clinical objectives of modern restorative dentistry, the fact that the biomaterials selections defines tooth preparation design and also the tooth preparation for CAD/CAM technology.
