Intracellular uptake of the PLGAChi NPs was visible
in the epithelial compartment of the reconstituted
human oral mucosa grown in vitro. The images

that PLGAChi NPs were able to penetrate the
superficial layers of the reconstituted epithelial
mucosa after 24h exposure at a concentration of
