I Went To See A “Conan” Show Live In NYC –
A Real Life Fable And A Dream Come True

Late October 2016, Conan O’Brien announced that he was bringing his show back to NYC for a
week to film his Monday – Thursday night TBS talk show at the legendary Apollo Theater.
When he also mentioned that fans could go to the show’s teamcoco.com website to get tickets, I
immediately went online to find out how to do that. This was not only my chance to see Conan,
Andy Richter and the Basic Cable Band live, but if I managed to get those tickets, it would be a
dream 23 long, difficult years in the making come true for me.

First, a little background and history about both myself and Conan that help explain why I’m
such a huge, longtime, loyal fan of Conan O’Brien as not only a talk show host, but as a person
too. At the very beginning of 1993, I lost my father after a short but extremely painful and
