Renewing Your Licence
To allow you to continue working legally in the licensed sectors, you should renew your licence
before it expires to ensure your new application has been processed before your current licence
expires.
You will receive an e-mail notification in advance of the expiry of your licence to work as a Security
Guard (Static), Door Supervisor (Licensed Premises). If you do not have your e-mail registered
with the PSA, you will receive a text inviting you to provide an e-mail address for your renewal.
To complete your on-line renewal you will need:
• A current credit or debit card.
• Your Eircode.
• Foreign Criminal Record Certificate (if you have spent six months or more in another jurisdic-
tion since your previous application)
•
If you wish to add a new sector to your current licence, you will need to upload evidence of
having completed the required TRAINING.
If you have two other sectors on your licence and you renew
27
only one sector, you cannot renew the other sector at a later
page
date. You will need to submit a new application and you
will not be able to avail of a discount for the additional
sector.
You will not be required to fill out a Garda Vetting Form
when renewing your licence, however the PSA
randomly select between 15% and 20% of renewals for
re-vetting and you may be asked to submit a
completed Garda Vetting Form after you have submitted
your application and fee and received your licence.
If you do get a e-vetting application after receiving your
licence, then don’t worry. If you have had no criminal
convictions in the past, it just means your name has been
selected at random for re-vetting.
