State of Caring 2016
Carers UK carries out an annual survey of carers to
build a picture of the state of caring in the UK.
This year over 6,149 people shared their views and
experiences on what life is like for carers in 2016.1
This is the largest State of Caring Survey carried out
by Carers UK to date.
As this report provides a snapshot of caring in 2016, only the responses of current carers have been used here. However, Carers UK will be
using the responses of former carers in other pieces of work throughout the year. See the appendix for more information about the survey.
