On the occasion of the creation in Parma of "The Third Paradise" by Michelangelo Pistoletto, key project of Parma 360 Festival della creatività contemporanea, Alessia Siligardi organized educational workshops for children and young people of all ages, to allow young to know the meaning of this symbol, its different activities, projects and develops, the art of regeneration of the world proposed by Michelangelo Pistoletto. All children were involved in the reproduction of the symbol of the Third Paradise through materials of various types. In Parma, the intervention of the Third Heaven, which covers about 2500 square meters in area, is part of Piazzale della Pace, a historic downtown area of the city transformed into a green area thanks to a project assigned in 1998 to the architect Mario Botta. The design of the Third Paradise in Piazzale della Pace has provided the commissioning of modular laying of 200 wooden pallets, with 120 x 80 cm size, which can be customized with either green elements (plants, vegetables, flowers, shrubs, compost, hotel for insects, etc.) and with elements of street furniture (chairs, tables, games, art installations, etc.). The symbol includes new spaces for sharing and collective exchange designed and curated by architects, associations and artisans of the town of Parma through a participatory process that includes the involvement of citizens and schools both in design and in construction, stimulating and promoting the reuse, recycling, self-construction, sustainability and the sense of beauty.
