THE NEWSLET TER OF THE SCIENCE TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION OF NSW INC.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION
ISSUE 2 2018
Note from STANSW President
This newsletter is complementary for all
science teachers in NSW schools even if you are
not STANSW members. Becoming a member
saves you and/or your school money so for
2019 remember to register your membership
in October (as membership is now closed for
2018). CONASTA is our big state conference
for K-12 and will be held in Sydney this year
so don’t miss out. Register through the ASTA
website to get access to some of the best
professional learning you could want. Your
STANSW membership is also required for
cheaper rates to CONASTA. Find out about our
‘event access membership’ today
You might like to know that STANSW is a
volunteer association run by teachers for
teachers. We represent you and your needs
so are often involved in NESA consultative
meetings to give feedback. Science Education
News (SEN) is our journal that provides great
teaching ideas for you in the classroom and this
year will include short summaries of work done
in our local universities. These might help your
senior students with their depth studies.
So if you have a fomo problem then join with
us to connect with our other NSW teachers.
