something must be done to maintain it

Black Panther
draws huge crowds
The ‘wand’ of success is in the hands of every Grey learner
The essence of Grey Magic is the
desire to succeed. Day after day,
week after week, year after year a
Grey boy gives his heart, sweat and
tears to this school.
It is our competition with
ourselves rather than the public that
provides us with our competitive
edge or so called Grey Magic. We
as Grey Boys are different. We
breathe different, run different,
play different and work different.
Because we want to succeed. We
have Grey blood pumping in our
veins, but that’s what makes us
special.
The feeling of pulling on a
Grey jersey can’t be compared to
anything else. If we were living
in a fantasy world, one should be
able to compare it to Tony Stark
putting on his iron man suit. You
get a shiver. The hair on the back
of your neck stands up. Not because
you’re afraid of your opponent. But
because you know who is behind
you. Ten thousand brothers who
have your back. All those who have
come before you. And all those who
will follow.
It would however appear that
some good results in 2018 thus
far, have gone to our heads, which
is uncharacteristic of a Grey boy,
especially considering that there
are many interschool events yet to
come. This has begun to show in
hall periods with a “we can say or
sing whatever we want” attitude
among the boys.
Songs sung in the hall have
the purpose of improving cohesion
in the entire school. It is after all
not only the students that can feel
the aforementioned emotion, but
also the teachers. The songs sung
under the influence of this attitude
tends to create a divide not only
between the students and teachers,
but also between students who find
these songs amusing and students
who actually try to discourage this
behaviour.
When students were asked
what they would have thought of
Grey if these songs were sung in
their first hall period in grade 8,
the vast majority became silent. It
is this response that shows that the
students can be made aware of this
problem.
After Mr Scheepers and Mr
Els discussed the problem with
the students, there was a clear
improvement in the quality of hall
God of War 4 is designed for single players
This is the eighth installment of
the God of War series. The action-
adventure game was developed
by Santa Monica Studios and
published by Sony Interactive
Entertainment.
Cory Barlog’s God of War 4
was initially released on the 20th
of April 2018. It is the sixth-best-
selling PlayStation 4 game with
over 3,1 million copies sold.
The game was designed by
Derek Daniels and written by
Matt Sophos, Richard Zangrande
Gaubert and Cory Barlog. God of
War 4 is for single player only and
available on PS4. The game is the
third-highest-rated PS4 game with
ratings of 94% by Metacritic and
GameFAQs-GameSpot.
The protagonists of the game
are Kratis and his young son
Atreus. The antagonist is the Norse
god Baldur. The game is based on
Norse mythology. The tremendous
change is that Kratos does not
use his double chained blades, the
Blades of Chaos but a magical axe
called the Leviathan Axe. The axe is
infused with ice elemental magic.
The game takes place in
Midgard. The beginning of the
game starts with the passing of
Kratos’s second wife, Faye, who is
also Atreus’s mother. Her last wish
is for her ashes to be spread at the
highest peak of the nine realms.
Kratos and Atreus travel on a
journey to the highest peak of the
nine realms to honour Faye’s wish.
They face risks along their journey,
each more dangerous than the last.
The graphics of this game
have much improved over the last
couple of years and the story line
is relatable in a sense that people
want to honour loved ones and
show their appreciation.
I think that this is a great
game to play as it teaches one to
always care about the people you
love and always know what you are
fighting for. Therefore, I give this
game a rating of 8,5/10.
It is the perfect excuse to
stay inside and take some shelter
against the winds of winter.

the standard that we have come to
expect from 2018. It was as if the
students weren’t aware of what they
were doing, becoming entranced in
a kind of battle euphoria. In the
future we will have to ensure that
we always stay humble and true to
our Grey values.
Grey Magic is the will and the
need to leave a legacy. The need
to show the world the potential of
Grey College. The strive towards
becoming the brightest of all rubies.
The art is to stay humble while
doing so.

movie for you. Ryan Coogler’s
Black Panther is the first Marvel
movie with a dominantly black
cast. The movie is based on
the Marvel comic book Black
Panther by Stan Lee and Jack
Kirby.
Black Panther has been
rated 7, 6/10 by IMDb, 97%
by Rotten Tomatoes and 88%
by Metacritic. The movie
was released on the 16th of
February 2018. The budget
was 210 million dollars and
has grossed 1,3 billion dollars
at the Box Office, making it the
ninth-highest-grossing film of
all time.
Black
Panther’s

includes world-class actors like
Chadwick Boseman, Michael B
Jordan, Lupita Nyony’o, Forest
Whitaker and Danai Gurira.
The story is that five
African tribes wage war
over a meteorite containing
vibranium.
This movie is an amazing
work of art.
It teaches the viewer
that one should not give up,
but learn from your failures. I
really enjoyed this movie and
therefore give it a rating of
9,5/10.
