On Tuesday 20th November Ms. Byrne, Ms. Dayton and 30 TY students travelled to Dublin Castle to attend an exciting new language initiative called Think Languages,

It started with a talk which highlighted the importance of speaking another language and how it enhances employment prospects.

Students got to experience live interpreting from Japanese to English with headsets. Following on from this they got to sample food from different countries around the world.

They attended workshops in the afternoon of their choosing. These workshops were language and cultural experiences and included Japanese, Polish, Italian, Russian language workshops and on the cultural side - Chinese calligraphy, salsa & drumming and Portuguese dance.

There was also an exhibition where students could gather information and ask questions regarding studying languages at 3rd level and opportunities to exchange programmes abroad.
