Middle Adult Discussion
(M.A.D.) Group
If you are, broadly speaking, in the 35-60 age group, you are invited to a new
monthly group for mid-life adults to discuss contemporary thought about God,
faith, doubt, the Bible and discipleship practice.
Introductory gathering Friday 22nd May, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.
at 210 Antill St. Hackett.

This DVD includes three interviews:
- Embracing doubt
- Thinking theologically
- Rethinking the Bible.
Conversation
about future monthly discussions.

Val Webb is an internationally acclaimed Australian theologian and author of
nine books including: “Testing tradition and liberating theology: finding our own
voice.” “Stepping out with the sacred: human attempts to engage the divine.”
“Like catching water in a net: human attempts to describe the divine.”
“In defence of doubt: an invitation to adventure.”
Contributions Wanted
All members of St Margaret’s and the broader Hackett-DownerWatson community are invited to contribute articles and photographs about things that have happened or are going to happen at
the St Margaret’s/Holy Cross complex or in the local community.
Articles about members of the community’s own involvements in
things of interest to others in the community may also be submitted
for potential publication.
The deadline for material for the next issue is 12 June, with that
issue being published on 19 June. Material should be given to the
editor Brian Rope or to Lynda at the church office. It may be handwritten or typed. It may be posted, emailed or personally delivered.
The Editor reserves the right to edit, or even not use, material.
