The Beauty of Age Suggested by a remark overheard at a local hospital aged & rehabilitation unit. “Well, morning everyone—we are still on the right side of the grass!” The Beauty of Age: The beauty of age comes from the treasures of a life’s living, the treasures of a life’s loving. The beauty of age is the memory of youth. The beauty of age is laugh lines and creases—they make a face interesting and give us character. People are easier to recognise as they get older and our faces tell some of our story. The beauty of age is mystery. The beauty of age is song lines. The beauty of age is the Queen - at 90 on a horse. The beauty of age s having time to notice others less fortunate and be thankful. The beauty of age is grandchildren, hindsight and what-the-heck. The beauty of age is serenity, understanding, gentleness, endurance and acceptance. The beauty of age is being thankful for God’s blessings, having time to pray and to remember happy memories. The beauty of age is contentment and enjoying the great grandchildren and memories of our own past - reflection. The beauty of age is a wonderful time to watch our grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and mature. Let it be a peaceful time in our lives as we grow older and enjoy our retirement years.
