Biggest Morning Tea
The two recent events for the Biggest Morning Tea in support of the ACT Cancer
Council were a great success.
The lunch was extremely well attended by over sixty very generous people. The
food was provided by all the best cooks in St Margaret’s congregation. A huge
thank you to each and everyone who contributed in any way to make it such a
superb get together for all of St Margaret’s people.
The Fashion Afternoon was outstanding with ladies coming from all over Canberra.
They participated in the Raffle and Trading Table and purchased winter garments
from the wide variety of fashions displayed by Chris and Emma from Holli Grove
Boutique in Kippax. The ladies, all 60 of them, were then treated to the most
scrumptious afternoon tea one could lay eyes on. Four of our own ladies won raffle
prizes and the Lucky Door prize, donated by Holli Grove Boutique, was won by another well deserving St Margaret’s lady.
All in all the two events were the happiest occasions we have enjoyed at St Margaret’s. From these two fund raisers we have donated $3500 to the Cancer Council,
$400 of which was from merchandise sales of mugs, aprons and tea
towels.

the trading
table.
