WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
"Give us a sign"
Ecumenical Regional
Service, Queanbeyan,
Friday 6 March 2015
The Hunter Presbytery
Social Justice Committee, invites us to join a network of Christian churches
calling for compassion for
asylum seekers.
People of all ages from
Queanbeyan, Canberra and surrounding areas are warmly invited
to the 2015 World Day of Prayer
Service at 7 pm on Friday 6 March
2015.
Give Us a Sign asks churches and Christian organisations with changeable street
signs to display specific
messages on Tuesdays in
Lent to promote a more
compassionate society.
The idea is to look
at www.giveusasign.org
and choose a sign for each
week of Lent from suggested messages, then display
that message on Tuesdays
during Lent, take a photo
and share it on the
giveusasign Facebook page
and Twitter.
At Queanbeyan Uniting Church,
corner Rutledge and Crawford
Streets, Queanbeyan.
The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement which
brings Christians of many traditions together to observe a common day of prayer each year. This
year’s service has been prepared
by the women of the Bahamas
Guest Speaker: Rev Elizabeth
Dyke
