Soft gentle mornings
Misty, pale pinks and mauves
Glistening, shining silver glimpses
Winter days
Clear, sunny, scattered white fluff,
Short days, but sweet warmth
A clear summer sky
Unique Australian gift,
Azure to the horizon, no clouds in sight
Farmer’s skies
Warnings, promises
Drought, sweet rain, flood, fine crops, disaster
Storm clouds, ominous
Rolling, scary, dark,
Filling the whole firmament
Sunsets, vivid, strong
Saffron, vermilion, orange
Purple splashes to wrap up the day
Deep, deep blackness
Pinpoints of glittering stars,
Be sill, look long, see more
Days and nights,
Announced, framed, shaped by the sky
Look up, appreciate, absorb, enjoy.
