Radical Sharing Publicity
John Tyler and Robin Bennett drew my attention to the fact that City
News on 27 March published an article by Andrew Leigh under the head-
ing ‘’Radical’ tale of the shared church.
It tells the story of how Don Erickson and Colin Rush decided to develop what
we have at St Margaret’s and Holy Cross. Andrew Leigh wrote that he heard
the story “of how this delightful shared church came into being at the induction
of Tim Watson, the new rector of Holy Cross”. He also mentioned what our two
churches do through Tuckerbox, Meg’s Toybox and Ross Walker Lodge, prais-
ing our collaboration.
The article was illustrated with one of our early photos, the dedication of the
site in 1967 (Don Erickson is at the left), which, Robin Bennett tells me,
happened to be the same day as Peta- Gai’s baptism that occurred in the
Watson school before the dedication:
