A DEVOTION FOR CHILDREN AT HEART By Rosary Shrine of St. Jude Deacon Br. Michael Weibley, O.P. After a destructive invasion of Prague in the 17th Century, the infant Jesus spoke to Father Cyril, a young priest who discovered His battered statue in the ruins of Our Lady of Victory Church. He promised, “The more you honor me, the more I will bless you.” Today, the Dominican Friars are doing just that at our Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut. We bring before Him for blessing all who have no one to help them and who share in His infancy – the unborn victims of abortion, the St. Jude Messenger - Volume II, Issue I 0100_SJ_Messenger_VF.indd 6 battered and unloved, the orphaned and the undernourished children of the world. Your donation helps accomplish this spiritual work of mercy! What is remarkable about this devotion is that in it we go to Jesus in His infancy, in His littleness. It is way for all of us to acknowledge that Christ came into the world as the smallest of human beings yet glorious in majesty. In His littleness we can come to see our own littleness before His great majesty, a great majesty that He wishes to bless us with! Photo by Fr. Lawrence Lew, O.P.
