A VOCABULARY STORY WITHOUT A TOPIC

By Maggie Eilermann
Maggie tried to write a vocabulary story , but it was hard because her boisterous little brothers were constantly annoying her . She had already tried coaxing them to stop , and their noise was like an ailment to her ears . Maggie was distraught anyway because she had no clue what the topic was for that week . She also didn ' t have any relations with her friends , who might be able to tell her . So , with great determination , she tried to invigorate her story with a topic . She thought about writing about marine life , strenuous sports , or scientific variables . After lots of thought , oddly enough , Maggie decided to write about writing vocabulary stories . Maggie looked wistfully outside and heard the shrill song of a bird , but she kept working . The words in a vocab story were dual . There were regular words and challenge words .
After lots of writing , Maggie read over her work . It was a little fruitless , but she didn ' t detest it . Maggie had procured its completion and she felt good . She presumed that Mrs . Schmitz would accept this creative diversion .

THE ROBBERY OF THE QUEEN ' S CROWN

By Ellie Hillenbrand
Once upon a time , in the lovely , diverse kingdom of Megamortia , there lived Queen Cat . Queen Cat would , once a week , descend from her castle , go under a hedge , and arrive in the village . She was supposed to be secreted 24 / 7 , but she felt so opaque and blanched staying in her dark , windowless castle . The queen had an affinity for tiaras , and she owned approximately 300 . She had to start innovating and fabricating new ways to incise diamonds and jewels so her tiaras were all different . In retrospect , she probably had too many , but she was the queen so it didn ’ t matter . Her most treasured crown , named The Falcon , was made of her favorite component : emeralds . It sat on display at the diplomat ’ s castle . One sad day , a thief interrupted the tranquil kingdom , and plundered The Falcon . Queen Cat was so depressed , she cried for days , and when she spoke , she could only stammer . Since the kingdom did not endorse robbery , they tried to find the tiara . Unfortunately , they never did , and Queen Cat had to give up her monarchy to be a depressed hermit .
