FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK Welcome to our inaugural issue of SRAinformed, the premier publication of Senior Resource Association. I am excited to introduce this non-profit, original publication to our followers, donors, friends, clients and their families. Our hope is that each monthly issue will engage you in new and inspiring ways, educate more people about publicly funded programs, activate our readers, and create a greater sense of community. We will share issues and solutions that reflect our progressive view on everything related to senior care. For more than 40 years, our organization has provided programs and services committed to helping older adults stay in their home for as long as safely possible. Today, we are a leading industry expert for adult day care, nutrition and transportation programs in Indian River County and the state of Florida. Many wonderful things are happening at Senior Resource Association and in our community at large. In addition to this new publication, we launched a weekly radio show this year. “Speaking of Caregiving” airs each Wednesday and is dedicated to providing support to caregivers. We’re also launching a beautiful new website this summer that is easy to navigate from any device. And the Silver Tones celebrated their 10th anniversary with a spectacular concert in April. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 10th anniversary as CEO and President of SRA. Thank you for joining us along the journey. I hope you will continue to follow us and help us share the resources we are making available to everyone within Indian River County and beyond. Sincerely, Karen B.
