About SACC Letter From Our President Dear Members of SACC-Philadelphia, It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as President of SACC-Philadelphia. We hope you enjoy reading our latest edition of our SACC- Philadelphia Update (“SPU”), which highlights several successful events and activities from the first haft of 2017. Our Chamber organized and participated in several successful events in 2017 including our second business technology mixer event on the topic of cyber security. This event featured an interesting panel discussion involving business leaders from Briteback, Specops, KPMG, Pinkerton and Culhane Meadows on critical steps companies should implement to protect their information technology. SACC-Philadelphia also organized a networking event at the American-Swedish Historical Museum that included a private viewing of the Skål exhibition on Scandinavian traditions involving alcohol. This program featured a presentation from Dean Brown, the owner and creator of Rowhouse Spirits. SACC-Philadelphia has planned several upcoming events including the annual Crayfish Party in August, as well as the continuation of our Breakfast Seminar series and monthly International Happy Hour. We hope you can join us for these upcoming events. SACC-Philadelphia is thankful hard work and contributions made by our current marketing and finance interns from Sweden. These interns included Beatrice von Schilcher (marketing) and Teele Rossi (finance). Our internship program has continued to be a valuable experience for our interns and the Chamber. We look forward to welcoming our new interns Gabriella Johnson (finance) and Elisabeth Avrotin (marketing) in July 2017. David W. Engstrom President, SACC-Philadelphia page 4
