Cyber Secuirty
A Series of Business Technology Networking
On April 9, 2017, SACC-Philadelphia and NACC-Philadelphia hosted a business networking reception at
the We Work office in Center City Philadelphia. This program featured a lively panel discussion involving
various business leaders on the topic of cyber security. SACC-Philadelphia’s president David Engstrom
moderated the panel discussion. The speakers on the panel included Stephen Ward, a cyber security
consultant with Pinkerton; Linda Prieble, an attorney who advises clients on data privacy with the law firm
Culhane Meadows; Per Nordling the Chairman of software company Briteback, which has developed a
business communication application; Ronald Plesco, a computer security consultant with KPMG; and Liz
Rivera, a marketing manager with Specops Software which has developed a password management
tool for businesses. Each of the panelists provided practical and interesting insights on trends in cyber
security, as well as tips on measures a business can take to protect against cyber threats and secure
sensitive business information.
The event was well-attended by chamber members and non-members. All who attended enjoyed food
and refreshments, as well as the opportunity to network with other professionals.
