Are you sick and tired of that boring winter room you’ve had through Christmas and New Years? Well it’s time to toss those knitted pillows and Santa figures in the closet because the cold winter months are over, spring is here and we’ve got a DIY that screams spring.

As you finish up your spring cleaning, you might find a few useless light bulbs lying around in your house, gathering dust and taking up precious space. Instead of simply tossing them in the trash, try making this light bulb planter. Springify your living space by getting those lively and vibrant colours in. Put these in your room, the garden or you can even gift them. It’s impossibly easy, it costs next to nothing and the possibilities are endless.

Bulb Planter

Step 1

1. Lay a piece of tissue or newspaper on your surface

2. Take your pliers or peel off the silver part of the bottom

Or take your sharp tool and pierce a hole through the silver plate.

Step 2

1. Take your screw driver and twist it around to break off the black glass circle

2. Insert the screw driver in the glass bulb and

*Be careful of the pieces of broken glass*

Step 3

1. Fill the bulb with water and shake to wash any bust and shards of glass out

2. Dry cleaned light bulb with paper towel
