What has been the most popular Christmas present to give loved ones this past holiday season? The selfie stick.

Opinions on the “Wand of Narcissist” are often on extreme ends of the spectrum. Some love it while many others despise the very concept of an extended arm to boost up your “selfie” game.

Surprisingly, this “selfie stick” originates way back as an idea of sorts. Since the invention of photography, being able to photograph oneself independently has been

desired by many.

been made in 1983 before making an appearance in the 1995, 101 Un-Useless Japanese Inventions. Not many had foreseen the outrageous popularity the selfie stick would gain from late 2014.
