movie “Soul Surfer.” Bethany grew up surfing in Hawaii and it even looked like she would go pro, but when she was 13 years old she lost her arm to a shark. She trusted that God had a plan for her life, and with that faith she persevered and became a pro-surfer indeed, not to mention she has been able to reach millions with the gospel! I knew if she could trust God with such an obstacle as losing a limb, that I could trust Him too, no matter what life threw at me.
Her life has definitely been thrown a unique situation. Mary Kate’s husband, John Luke Robertson, grew up with his father and other relatives running Duck Commander, a multimillion-dollar business based on producing duck calls. He and Mary Kate are now pursuing their own endeavors, many of which he recorded in his latest book Young & Beardless, a book about accomplishing goals. Out of everything this couple and this family has done, what do you think his biggest accomplishment was? We asked him.
JLR: My marriage to Mary Kate is absolutely my biggest accomplishment.
