President’s MESSAGE The Road Ahead to say welcome to the new CAA Manitoba Magazine. Your CAA membership has so much value in one card, and our mission is to always add to that value—including improving your member magazine. I know you already noticed the name change, but the improvements don’t stop there. The pages ahead have the same great content you know and love, with a fresh look, enhanced member experience and even more features, helpful tips and expert advice. Rest assured, as a member-based organization, we look to you to guide our decisions. This magazine is for you—so naturally, before making these changes, we asked what kind of features, old and new, you would like in your quarterly read. Your feedback was overwhelming and positive: you live, love and trust the CAA brand, and wanted more articles highlighting real member stories, discounts and ways to save. Most of all, you wanted a magazine that reflects the CAA brand as a whole and helps you make the most of your membership. That’s why we’ve renamed the magazine to better reflect what it is: a member benefit. In recent years, we’ve continued to add even more benefits to being a CAA member, including adding hundreds of rewards partners, improving our CAA Dollars program, diversifying our insurance services and expanding our merchandise offerings in-store and online. We want you to know about all of these things, plus all the other value packed in your membership card. LET ME BE THE FIRST 4 SPRING 2016 CAA MANITOBA You’ll also notice that we’ve changed the way the magazine is laid out. We’ve grouped all your member benefits right at the front of the magazine for you to easily peruse, before diving into the informative insurance and auto pieces and tempting travel features. We’ve also added new content, such as a Q&A column, so you can get to know our experienced CAA staff and the contributions they have made over the years (see page 15), and a Canadian travel feature in every edition. Our country holds incredible adventure and natural beauty from coast to coast, and we’re pleased to share some of its gems that may inspire your next great Canadian vacation. So go ahead: Read CAA Manitoba Magazine with a cup of coffee on the couch, take it with you on the plane, or savour it as a daytime diversion during your lunch break at work. And while you explore this and future issues, keep in mind that we always welcome your comments. Enjoy!
