YOUNG LAWYER SHOWCASE
The SBAND Young Lawyers Section (YLS) is continuing
its efforts to integrate young lawyers with other attorneys
in our state and within the communities we live. To that
end, YLS continues to host community service events,
webinars, and luncheons.
Feed Your Community: The YLS Community Service
Committee hosted the Third Annual Feed your
Community food and fund drive and had another
successful year. Thank you to James Teigland and Taylor
Olson for co-chairing the Community Service Committee
and organizing the event this year. Also, thank you
to those city coordinators who provided assistance in
making the event successful: Ashleigh Ensrud, James
Hoy, Patrick Hope, Amy Clark, Rachel Gehrig, Jessie
VanCamp, and Ashley Samuelson. As a legal community,
we succeeded in fighting hunger and feeding hope.
Fundamentals of Law Webinar: YLS will be hosting
a Fundamentals of Law Webinar on May 18. David
Maring of Maring Williams Law Office, P.C., will present
“Documents, Documents, Documents,” an ethics
webinar on properly documenting your file.
This webinar, along with the past webinars, can be
accessed at www.sband.org. The materials and audio
recording are free of charge. However, if you are low on
CLE credits, you can review the materials and audio after
the seminar and apply for self-study CLE credits. This is
a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to meet those CLE
requirements.
