REFLECTION

1986 -2016

Many of us have experienced the one horse that is so much part of the family that losing them is like losing a family member . For the McNatts- Bobby & Sharon and their family , Ray and Wendel , and their Grandchildren , REFLECTION has been a constant influence for the last 30 years . Show horse , Hunting & Trail Horse , Sport Horse , & Sire- These titles all belong to REFLECTION . REFLECTION was Sired by PHOTO FLASH- F450 out of Dr . Evan Allison ’ s , Field Trial Mare , MAYFLOWER . REFLECTION began his show career as a yearling where he competed against Danny Ray ’ s horse BUCK year . The fun competition ended with REFLECTION bringing home the Yearling Stallion Reserve World Champion title , beat by BUCK .
That Winter Bobby & Danny both bought Coon Dogs and trained their horses and dogs together ! They worked their dogs and horses 4-5 nights a week , putting in the time to train them in all types of terrain . This set REFLECTION up with the foundation of training that made him such a workable and skilled Stallion . This time and training created a horse that could go anywhere and be ridden by many . Reflection earned the affection nickname of “ McNatt ’ s Charge card .” Like the 90s advertisement said “ Never leave home without it ” and it was a rare event that the trailer or a ride of people would leave out without REFLECTION . He was Bobby ’ s main trail horse through many years of riding in Lincoln Co . and beyond including ; the Smokey Mountains , Zenith Campground , South Fork and many other places . No matter who was on his back , they knew they were taken care . Not only because of his experience but also because his personality shown through with his care of his rider . Until Reflection was 24 years old he could be found out on Coon Hunts as a trustworthy hunting partner , just as Bobby had hoped for when REFLECTION was merely a yearling .
The foundation of trust and skills created from many miles on the trail and on the Hunts opened the doorway to much success in SSHBEA ’ s Sport Horse program . Winning many a blue ribbon in all events except barrels and poles , he brought home many titles including both World Champion Sport Horse High-Point Stallion and Reserve in this division in different years . As Sport Horse grew there were divisions that came and went , one of these being Team Roping . REFLECTION and one of his daughters won this division both years it was a part of the Championship , REFLECTION as header . Roping was not the only cattle event where he excelled . He was often found Team-penning both in and out of SSHBEA and was a part of nine Championship Team penning teams in various divisions- Open , Ladies , mixed Teams , and Youth . Not just with Bobby , but with many riders REFLECTION brought home the blues . Along with the Bobby and his boys , Ray and Wendel , some of the other riders who competed with REFLECTION include : Sabrina Kimball , Josh Long , Jonathon Cantrell , and Curtis Creason . Sport Horse events gave REFLECTION just one more place to show his skills and people loving personality . These traits were passed on to his off Spring making them great partners for their riders on the trail and in Sport Horse and several of his off Spring became Sport Horse Champions themselves .
As a Sire , if you were looking for versatility and a great personality- REFLECTION was the one for you ! Many of his off-Spring carry these traits and have made a name for themselves as wonderful lifelong riding mounts , no matter what discipline the owner wants to participate .
PHOTO FLASH REFLECTION will be missed not only by the McNatt Family but by all those who made memories , on the hunt , on the trail , in Competition , and by those who have enjoyed his off-Spring !
