KAS VIDRUK AA DIVISION
TORIAN KITT, LB, MILES MACDONNELL
In his first year, Kitt was awarded the Buckeyes’ Rookie
of the Year, the Buckeyes’ Team MVP award, and was
recognized as the AA Division’s Rookie of the Year after
accumulating the second most tackles. In the 2015
season, Kitt led the AA Division in tackles and has now
secured a spot on Team Manitoba’s U-18 squad for the
Canada Cup.
“Torian Kitt has quickly distinguished himself as one
of the top linebackers in the province,” said Buckeyes’
head coach Dan Washnuk. “Entering Miles Macdonell as
a Grade 10 student-athlete, Torian’s dominance on and
off the field was an immediate spark for the Buckeyes.”
Tyler Fedak
AUSTIN BUHLER, RB/WR/QB, STEINBACH
Buhler is a third-year senior who has started every
game as a Sabre. This season he will be a focal point
of the team’s offense, lining up in three different
positions – quarterback, runningback and wideout
– where the Sabres coaches will get him the ball and
give him opportunities to make big plays. Last year, as
a quarterback, he was 10-for-21 for 214 yards and two
touchdowns as a passer. He carried the ball 76 times
for 632 yards and seven touchdowns as a runner and
had 13 receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns
as a receiver.
“He is a very intelligent football player which makes
it easy to move him into a variety of positions,” said
head coach Jamie Peters. “He has great speed, vision,
and finishes his runs hard. He will look to build off his
great numbers from last year and help carry our team
to a third straight championship game in the Vidruk.”

TYLER FEDAK, RB/WR, PORTAGE
Fedak will try to build on his successful rookie
season that was highlighted by three 200-plusyard rushing games. He also had two games in
which he scored four touchdowns. He also picked
up a Player of the Week selection.
“He is a dual threat player for the PCI Trojans
and will line up as both a receiver and running
back,” said head coach Stephen Fedus. “His
combination of speed and agility make him a
scoring threat from anywhere on the field.
“Tyler is always working to better himself – in
the classroom and on the field – and his efforts
were rewarded with a selection to the Team
Manitoba U-18 squad where he will be playing
as a receiver and returner. The PCI Trojans are
counting on Tyler to be a game changer this year
as they strive to improve on their .500 record from
last year.”
JOEL FIESSHA, OLB, VINCENT MASSEY BRANDON
Fiessha is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound Grade 12 student at
Vincent Massey High in School in Brandon. He definitely
has a knack for the football. Last season, he had two
interceptions (one for a touchdown), two fumble recoveries
and four forced fumbles.
“Joel is a premiere player and arguably the best linebacker
in the league,” said his head coach, Mike Steeves. “He is a
natural athlete with a huge upside. Joel can be used on both
sides of the ball. He is a threat as a receiver with great speed
and will attack the ball in the air. As a linebacker, opponents
run away from him, but he has a great ability to fight off
blockers and make big plays.
“He has a great understanding of the game and has a
knack for the football He is always around the ball, ready
and willing to make a play.”
