twenty four hours a week to swimming and she is often required to travel to competitions throughout Canada and the US. “But Abi embraces new and challenging situations and puts those around her at ease with her friendliness and likeable personality. She’s is a very responsible athlete, is extremely passionate about swimming and is a highly competitive individual. She approaches her sport in a very methodical and professional manner. She is very clear on what goals she wants to achieve and takes the time to understand what will be necessary to accomplish them. She is mature in her evaluation, while providing feedback to myself and other members of our coaching staff. Abi exemplifies the Marlins’ values of Excellence, Perseverance and Integrity.” For Abi, at this stage of her career, the goals are quite clear: She wants to qualify for the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials which will go from April 5-10 in Toronto.
