In 2010 she placed second in the jump at the Junior World Championships in Italy and then at the 2013 Under-21 World Championships she placed second in jump and third in slalom. She competed in the 2010 Pan Am Championships as a member of Team Canada where she placed third in jump, fourth in slalom, fourth in overall and second in team. To top off her list of accomplishments, she was named Water Ski World Championships Junior Skier of the Year in 2009, 2010 and 2012. “It’s kind of interesting that I’m the slalom world champion when my favourite event is the jump,” she said with a laugh. “I rank higher in jump than slalom.” Although she is a professional water skier, she is also on a full water ski scholarship to Louisiana/Lafayette University, where she is majoring in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and is a member of the Ragin’ Cajuns varsity team. She’ll head back to school in late August, but first she has to compete in the Western Canadian championships on August long weekend, then she’ll head to Quebec in the middle of August to compete in her 14th national championship.
