NOVEMBER 23, 2018 | SportsUnion ALL- It is with great pleasure that in lo- cal circles, Sports Union Magazine is dubbed the “Soc- cer magazine” as we pride ourselves in giving the most copious amounts of local soccer cov- erage of any local outlet both at the collegiate and High School levels. After many years of not wanting to join in the fray of year end awards, we at Sports Union 21 Girls decided that after watching nearly 50 high school and col- lege soccer match- es since mid-Au- gust that we may present our own All-Sports Union squad considering we have witnessed these players on the pitch and ar- PLAYER OF THE YEAR Shae O’Rourke Forward St. Mary’s While most players are happy with a 100 points in a career, the St. Mary’s freshman did it in one season. She as one of the main reasons why the Lancers won the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association regular season title and was riding a 19-game unbeaten streak heading into the finals against Nichols. en’t swayed by rep- utation or statistics alone. While no “all-star” list can be perfect, we feel that these 22 players repre- sent some of the best players in all the Western New York College Com- munity.
