It is with great
pleasure that in lo-
cal circles, Sports
Union Magazine is
dubbed the “Soc-
cer magazine” as
we pride ourselves
in giving the most
copious
amounts
of local soccer cov-
erage of any local
outlet both at the
collegiate and High
School levels.

of not wanting to
join in the fray of
year end awards,

Girls

PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Shae
O’Rourke
Forward
St. Mary’s
While most players are happy with a
100 points in a career, the St. Mary’s
freshman did it in one season. She as
one of the main reasons why the Lancers
won the Monsignor Martin Athletic
Association regular season title and
was riding a 19-game unbeaten streak
heading into the finals against Nichols.
en’t swayed by rep-
utation or statistics
alone.
While no “all-star”
list can be perfect,
we feel that these
22 players repre-
sent some of the
best players in all
the Western New
York College Com-
munity. Feel free to
comment, respect-
fully, on our selec-
tions and add to the
conversation. One
thing is for sure, all
these young ladies
are
outstanding
players and a plea-
sure to watch play
football.
