The WNY Flash Academy is delighted to announce a partnership with Sahlen Sports Park to be the
primary tenant at WNY’s newest outdoor turf soccer complex.
Sahlen Sports Park has announced plans for a state of the art outdoor turf sports complex located at 6831 Seneca St. in Elma, NY. Previously
the site hosted Cyber Creek Golf Range. Construction crews have already begun work at the site.
Plans for the project include two full sized turf soccer fields including 7v7 and 9v9 field lines, as well as a 7,000 square foot building with
offices, locker rooms, bathrooms, and storage.
“This is a critical strategic step in changing the landscape in WNY for elite level soccer players, and those who aspire to get to the next level,
says Director of Coaching, Rob Ferguson. “We discussed the need to improve our half and full field training opportunities during the winter
months on a player development level, numerous times. As has become the norm, the Sahlen’s have stepped up to deliver for WNY soccer
youth. In addition to the huge training benefit, we will be able to host 8 and 10 game ECNL Conference match ups with incredible facilities for
the players, referees, coaches and college scouts, and we will improve scheduling and game day experiences for all our teams
from 7v7 through 11v11”
The outdoor turf complex is the first offsite expansion for Sahlen Sports Park. Sahlen Sports Park is a 180,000 square foot indoor sports facility
currently located approximately .6 miles south of the new outdoor complex. Over 500,000 people annually enter Sahlen Sports parks doors
where the WNY Flash Academy are also primary tenants.
