Founded in 2004, the three-day event has been growing bigger and stronger ever since! Now finding a home at the iconic London ExCeL Centre – MOVE IT celebrates dance and performing arts of all backgrounds, disciplines, cultures and styles. During the three day weekend, there are hundreds of brDuring the three day weekend, there are hundreds of dance brands, colleges and schools coming to MOVE IT, along with dancers from across the country and Europe who come to perform, compete and showcase their fabulous skills. You can take part in dance classes, watch world class talent on the Main Stage, compete on the Freestyle Stage, take to the roller rink or shop ‘til you drop’, with our brilliant show exhibitors. No matter whether you are a beginner or professional, dancer or supportive parent, MOVE IT is exciting, vibrant and EVERYONE will find something they can enjoy. The whole premise of MOVE IT is to celebrate the unity and togetherness of dance, in a supportive and vivacious atmosphere, where every performer and dance lover is welcome to embrace themselves and their love of dance. Sport in Profile Magazine was keen to find out more and The MOVE IT Team recently took the time to tell us more. return year after year, bringing with them friends, family and entire dance schools. When you have that many excited, dedicated and passionate people in one place – the atmosphere is undoubtedly electric. It’s not just the performers, but the teachers, friends, family and schools that come and cheer, clap and support their dancers that make MOVE IT so special. We always look to include fun and exciting features for them too – especially the teachers – MOVE IT PRO for example, has been curated to provide professionals and teachers still looking for engaging and informative content to help them develop even after their training is over. We also have some amazing support from Industry Partners such as the Royal Academy of Dance, ISTD and London Studio Centre who help us to constantly develop and progress the event, making it the best we can for the MOVE IT Squad.
