the Steeldogs and on the ice they will be looking
to cement their position at the top of the standings
over the coming weeks.”
Glenavy Talks
History
and Tours
Glenavy is a unique village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland close to the western shores of Lough Neagh. "The
Digger", a well-known local history columnist, has been taking groups on guided village tours in this area for a
number of years.
Also available are local history talks encompassing the rich history of this part of County Antrim, and family
history research. Dedicated to the remembered and forgotten, who once inhabited the homesteads and
farmsteads, walked the 'loanins' and toiled the fields in the village and townlands of Glenavy and district; making
their last earthly journey along the 'loanin' to their chosen place of rest.
This season Glenavy History Talks and Tours are pleased to sponsor Jamie Scott, a grandson of former Glenavy
residents and we wish Sheffield Steeldogs every success for the future.
