Bristol Flyers
Bristol Flyers
BASKETBALL Team
Bristol Flyers was a team that made plenty of progress last season as
they claimed their highest ever league finish to make the play-offs and
are now looking forward to building on that in the new campaign.
Sport in Profile Magazine recently caught up with Brandon Boggs to
find out more.
Involvement
He told us, “I have been involved with
the club since last year, so this will be
my second season with the Flyers. I was
very attracted to playing in the BBL and
I knew a couple of familiar faces in the
team already! After playing in the BLNO
in Norway, I was looking to play in a
more competitive league for the 2016/17
season and the BBL is a more respected
league throughout Europe.
I already knew one of the returning
players in Daniel Edozie, as I had
already played against him in the Global
Basketball Summer League in Las
Vegas. The Bristol Flyers organisation is
on the rise - Coach Kapoulas sold me on
winning and he said I could really help
the team in a lot of areas on and off the
court.”
The Role
“The most challenging and rewarding
aspects of being a Bristol Flyer is being
100 percent committed to the club and
the process. There is more to being a
Flyer than just playing on Saturday
nights at the WISE Arena. Everyday
we train once or twice a day. Shooting
and weights in the morning and
training sessions at night. Without those
