ellingborough HC is a well-run, family establishment that provides people with an opportunity to enjoy the
game in a safe and enjoyable environment. Their Treasurer Rob Leslie-Carter recently took the time to speak
with Sport in Profile Magazine.

He told us, “I’ve been playing hockey for
over 30 years. The game has been a massive
part of my life and I even met my wife in a
crowded hockey clubhouse 20 or so years
ago. When my family and I moved back to
Northamptonshire from Sydney three
years ago, Wellingborough was the
perfect club for lots of reasons –
it was local, the coaching and
facilities were excellent,
the people were super
friendly (even when I
told them how long
it had been since
I’d broken into a
full sprint), and
the youth set up
meant my whole
family could get
involved.

“Boro is a great club for families. My
wife Claire and daughter Isabel (15) both
play for the Ladies 2nd team and have
been keeping their eye in this summer
playing in a seven a side league. My other get all six of us on the pitch at the same
