Richard Cotton of club sponsor Rentruck recently took the time to tell
us more about the company and the positive association they have with
Belle Vue Rentruck Aces Speedway Team. He told us, “We are a vehicle
rental company based in Rochdale, North Manchester. The company
originally began life 90 years ago as cotton hauliers, and has since evolved
in to a rental company.
“We currently have in the region of 250 vehicles on fleet, and are primarily
in the ‘bread and butter’ market, with standard cars, vans and minibuses,
although we also have a sister company called CoolRunningRental that
specialises in temperature-controlled vans to supply the food chain and
pharmaceutical industries.
“There have been many contributing factors to our success. The quality
and newness of our vehicles, quality of our staff, staff continuity and an
understanding family!
“Personally, my dad used to sponsor Chris Morton in the 80s when he was
riding for Belle Vue, and so since the age of about 12 I have been going to
Belle Vue, then had a few years in the ‘wilderness’ when family life took over,
but have been attracted back in recent years.
