A pirate’s
life for me
I love pirates. Like really love
pirates. If I could walk around
with an eye patch saying “Arrr
Matey!” to people while still
being a member of polite society
I would. And I managed to speak
to one of the guys that can make
this happen for me. This is not
some kind of dress up costume
play fantasy (more on that
elsewhere), I am in fact talking
about Realisation Director for
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag,
Antoine Fortier-Auclair (he even
has a pirate sounding name).
Apart from having a really
cool title, it basically means
that he makes sure the trailers
are closely aligned with the
gameplay so that gamers get the
best possible experience they
can when watching it.
Hopefully you’re not
unfamiliar with the franchise,
but if you are, know that you’ll
be playing as a pirate assassin,
which in itself is a pretty
awesome combo, and because
you’re now in command of
a ship, you can sail the high
seas, exploring, discovering
treasure maps and searching
for hidden treasure.
