We all have those celebrities that we flock to for style inspiration. I mean what would fashion be without a fierce, risk-taking style maven who knows how to motivate and pull-off a good-looking, jaw-dropping, side-eye kind of ensemble? Supermodels used to be the idealistic style icons but today’s trendsetters come in the shape of Pop divas, reality stars, or a few chicks who just happened to be the main squeeze of the HNIC. Whatever the case may be, I’m often inspired by many of the public figures on how to make a trend or specific style work. And for some time I’ve wanted to showcase the style influences of some of the industry’s most saught after ladies. So today I’m headlining this new SwaggStar Trendsetter feature with the Roc Nation’s own, Rita Ora.

Some say she’s a Rihanna wannabe, but I say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I mean who hasn’t swagger jacked someone else’s style? That’s what fashion is about, taking what’s already been done and making it your own. And Rita Ora is that chick. Her take on 90s fashion has got fashionistas swiping their cards at Topshop and American Apparel locations worldwide trying to achieve her sometimes grunge/sometimes hiphop/always girly aesthetic. From the blonde locks to the always flawlessly beat face, how could Rita Ora not be a style-inspiring trendsetter? And with that being said, let’s take a look at a few (of my favorite) frocks and sartorial choices of the Roc Nation’s Albanian musical sensation.
