MEET & GREET WITH DPS SUPERINTENDENT

DURHAM, NC - The Education Committee of the Durham
Committee on the Affairs of Black People will host a
community-wide “Meet and Greet” Reception with
Durham’s new school superintendent,
Dr. Bert L’Homme. The event will take place on Tuesday,
October 14, from 5:30-7:00 pm at Eastway Elementary
School (Principal, Shayla D.B. Holeman) located at
610 North Alston Avenue. During this special event,
attendees will have an opportunity to hear Dr. L’Homme’s
plans for the district and learn of ways to get involved to
support his vision for better schools. There will be a question and answer session
immediately following the discussion. Light refreshments will be served. This
event is sponsored by the Education Committee of the Durham Committee on
