POP SENSATION MCCLAIN PERFORM AT 2014 NC STATE
FAIR
RALEIGH, NC – Every year, the NC State Fair concert lineup has something for everyone and this year was no
different. This year rapper Vanilla Ice, gospel artist Tamela Mann and pop trio McCLAIN including China Anne
McClain, performed as part of the 2014 N.C. State Fair concert series in the Dorton Arena. During his meteoric
rise to fame in the early 1990s, Vanilla Ice topped the charts with his hit “Ice Ice Baby.” After his fame
began to fade, the rapper switched gears and became a professional jet-skier and later began appearing in
TV reality shows. Tamela Mann began her career as a singer with the gospel group, Kirk Franklin and the
Family, and is enjoying tremendous success as a solo artist with her hit single “Take Me to The King.” Already
in 2014, Mann has won Stellar Award’s Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year, as well as Best Gospel Artist
at the BET Awards. Mann and her husband David starred in “Meet the Brown’s” and they are currently in
production of “Meet The Manns” – their upcoming reality show is set to air on BET in 2015. Coming from a
family of singers, songwriters and musicians, the McClain sisters grew up in a house filled with music. They
formed their singing trio at the ages of 9, 7 and 5. In addition to singing, China Anne McClain also is an
actress known for her role as musical prodigy Chyna Parks on the Disney Channel program “A.N.T. Farm.”
