Fuller , headquartered in the East Metro since 1887 and in Vadnais Heights for more than 30 years , is a leading global adhesives provider focusing on perfecting adhesives , sealants and other specialty chemical products to improve products and lives . President and CEO Jim Owens says , “ At H . B . Fuller , we care about the communities where we live and work . Whether it ’ s supporting science , technology , engineering and math education ( STEM ), youth leadership development programs , or empowering our employees around the globe to volunteer their time and talents , we recognize the power of giving back to our communities .”
Upon accepting the award , Owens said , “ We are honored to have been recognized by the VHEDC board of directors for our volunteerism and corporate philanthropy in the Vadnais Heights community , across the Twin Cities , and around the world . We ’ re committed to connecting what matters , and that extends to making strong connections in the communities where we live and work . Locally , we support our middle schools with STEM-focused grants , and this fall we were pleased to support local nonprofits – Merrick , Inc . and the White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf – through our Make a Difference volunteer program .”

This award was created to establish special tribute for outstanding companies that continue to thrive and support the local economy . Recipients demonstrate excellence in their professional service industry .
The Urgency Room ( UR ) – staffed with Emergency Physicians Professional Association ’ s ( EPPA ) board-certified physicians and clinicians – specializes in the treatment of serious illnesses and injuries in adults , children and infants . The UR is open from 8am to 10pm , 365 days a year and isn ’ t short on medical equipment that can quickly and accurately diagnose and treat patients of all ages ; it offers low wait times and a cost that is more affordable than a similar visit to a hospital ER .
Carolyn McClain , MD , Medical Director of The Urgency Room , accepted the award and said , “ It is such an honor to win the Business Excellence award !
