Huzzah ! For more than four decades , the Minnesota Renaissance Festival has showcased the merriment of the 16th century and has become the largest Renaissance Festival in the country .
As guests enter , they ’ re welcomed by roaming street characters with a gracious “ Good day my lord and lady .” Then the sights , smells and sounds of an authentic 16th century village come to life all around . With more than 300 characters roaming the village , coming face-to-face with the town beggar , the common peasant and even the King and Queen is inevitable .
The Renaissance Festival features 16 stages of live entertainment , 250 artisan vendors , themed weekends , kid-friendly activities , full combat jousting and food fit for a king ( or queen ).
The Renaissance Festival is Open Weekends August 18 – September 30 . Plus Labor Day , September 3 & Festival Friday , September 28 , 9am to 7pm • Rain or Shine !
